Dr. Kentgen has been in clinical practice in New York City for nearly three decades. As a clinician, educator, and consultant, she has helped hundreds of clients, of all ages and backgrounds, remove obstacles and make deep and lasting changes.
She has taught at Columbia University’s doctoral clinical psychology training program and served as Clinical Director at an NIMH funded research center (CRC) for childhood anxiety and depression, at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Her research has appeared in a number of respected academic journals, including Psychiatry Research, The Journal of Abnormal Psychology and British Journal of Developmental Psychology. In addition to her personal blog, Dr. Kentgen writes for popular online publications including: Thrive Global, Elephant Journal, Parent Co, and Sivana East. Her book, An Intentional Life: Five Foundations of Authenticity and Purpose, was published in June 2018.
In addition to invited talks at universities and medical centers, Dr. Kentgen presents to numerous organizational and learning environments.
Dr. Kentgen has conducted and published research on the development of higher levels of awareness. She has also published her research on the biological correlates and treatment interventions of depression and anxiety in children.
